The Club offers live music five nights a week, with early (6:00pm) sets on Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays. Monday night is the lively Comedy night featuring BET-Rap City's Joe Clair. Takoma was also the first club in DC to feature Sunday night reggae, which started out with RAS records recording artist Englishman and features many of DC's finest Roots and Dancehall bands, including Image Band. If you like Latin Jazz, Reggae, International Jazz, Progressive Jazz or Blues, Takoma Station Tavern is the place for you.
But not everyone comes for the music! The double bayfront windows, exposed brick walls, hardwood beams and pressed-tin ceiling with sky-lights, and 10 TV's (including a 54 inch and a 6fy screen) provide a night of relaxing with old friends or meeting new ones. Not to mention, the excellent menu that ranges from appetizers, salads and sandwiches to seafood and drink specials.
