Love Your Local

Takoma’s independent businesses make the community a special place to live, work and visit. While we encourage shopping and dining local every day, we’re spending some extra time celebrating Takoma’s unique collection of businesses on Saturday, March 30th, 2019. Join us and Love Your Local.
You can Love Your Local by shopping and dining (or exercising, dancing, getting a hair cut, or …) in Takoma on Saturday, March 30th. We encourage you to spend a minimum of $10 in a local business that day. You can also Love Your Local by taking time to tell a friend about a local business or writing a great review for a favorite spot to help them generate more customers.
From 9:30 am-12:30 pm on March 30th, Mayor Kate Stewart will be celebrating Takoma Park’s newest businesses with ribbon cuttings starting at Mansa Kunda and GFT Team on Flower and Erie Avenues; then Seoul Food, The Girl and The Vine, Cielo Rojo, Great Shoals Winery Tasting Room, Bespoke Not Broke and Georgie’s Barber on Carroll and Laurel Avenues; and ending with Marked Salon and Barber and Cleaning Network, Inc. on University and New Hampshire Avenues. Come along and help us celebrate these new businesses and Love Your Local.
Where will you Love Your Local?
