Thanks to everyone for a great 2019 event. 2020 application and date will go online in January.

Art Hop 2019

Join us for this special weekend when we transform Takoma into a lively arts district showcasing the work of local artists. We’ll match artists with our local businesses to display their work over the weekend of April 27-28, 2019.  You will find ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, woodworking and more offered for sale at a variety of price points. Enjoy live outdoor music and dance performances and meet-the-artist receptions all weekend too.

Visitors can grab an Art Hop Map from any of the participating businesses and explore art at their own pace while taking in “Meet-the-Artist” receptions, workshops and live performances all weekend. The Art Hop Map doubles as a punch card which will be stamped at each Art Hop Stop location and may be turned in at the Art Hop Info Booth to be eligible for prize drawings!

New this year – wine! Visitors may pick up a souvenir Art Hop glass on Saturday and enjoy wine specials at participating businesses plus stop by the Art and Wine Hub next to the TPSS Co-op for wine tastings from local vineyards, artists booths, and music courtesy of Takoma’s independent community radio station, WOWD.

Presented by the Old Takoma Business Association, Your Main Street Takoma.
